Am 4. Dezember 2024 findet von 17:00 Uhr bis 20:00 Uhr der Elternsprechtag über MS Teams statt.

Dabei kommt im Vorfeld ein elektronisches Anmeldesystem zum Einsatz, welches Ihnen die Möglichkeit bietet, Sprechzeiten online zu reservieren. Von Samstag, 23. November 2024 um 15:00 Uhr bis Sonntag, 1. Dezember um 20:00 Uhr ist das Buchen von fünfminütigen Sprechzeiten möglich.

Der Sprechtag selbst findet wie in den letzten Jahren digital über Teams statt. Eine detaillierte Anleitung für das Buchen von Sprechzeiten und den digitalen Ablauf des Sprechtags finden Sie hier.

Exkursion der 2AK zur Firma Schachermayer

Am 29. April besuchten wir, die 2AK, die Firma Schachermayer in Linz. Vor dem Rundgang durch das Lager erhielten wir eine kurze Einführung in die Geschichte des Unternehmens. Auch die Entstehungsgeschichte der Corporate Identity („schachermayergelb“) war sehr interessant.
Im Lager bekamen wir einen Einblick in die Verwaltung und Organisation der umfangreichen Produktpalette. Während des Besuchs konnten wir Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter bei der Arbeit beobachten und einen besseren Einblick in die Logistik und den gesamten Prozess bekommen. Insgesamt war der Besuch eine äußerst informative Erfahrung, die uns die Arbeitsweise und Produkte von Schachermayer näherbrachte. Besonders faszinierend war es, dass wir hier die Möglichkeit hatten, das theoretische Wissen, welches wir in der Schule erlernt haben, nun auch vor Ort zu erleben.

4AK goes JKU Open House

Wir, die Schülerinnen und Schüler der 4AK, durften uns am Tag der offenen Tür etwas genauer über die JKU Linz im Allgemeinen sowie die verschiedenen angebotenen Studienrichtungen informieren.
Von Campusführungen über einen Studienwahltest bis hin zu der Verkostung von köstlichem Stickstoffeis, bei welchem der Großteil von uns nicht nur einmal zugegriffen hat, war alles dabei. Wir sind uns einig: Dieser Tag war nicht nur eine wertvolle Erfahrung, welche allen vierten und fünften Klassen zu empfehlen ist, sondern er hat uns auch einen Vorgeschmack darauf gegeben, was uns die Zukunft bringen könnte.

I am currently working at Motel One Dublin, a large hotel chain from Munich that recently opened its first location in Ireland. From reception to the bar, I have worked essentially every possible job you can do in a hotel. I believe that my job offers the best chance to improve your English skills, as you have to communicate with people throughout the entire day and handle a wide variety of tasks. You might find yourself working at the reception one day, only to be pouring drinks at the bar the next. Additionally, with complimentary breakfast and drinks, as well as the very friendly and talkative staff, Motel One is a great place to work!

In this office, my colleague and I handle a wide range of tasks, including registering job seeker forms, scheduling job interviews, and organizing files. Overall, this firm is a very comfortable and beautiful place to work at, and I am excited to learn new things and gain experience.

I’m working at a recruiting company called Temple Recruitment here in Dublin, where I can utilize the Excel skills I acquired in my business informatics lessons. Besides work, we’re also exploring the pubs in Ireland in our free time, where we’ve already spent a night or two. I currently have the opportunity to work here in Dublin at Meltdown, a company that owns its own café and produces sandwiches, toast, and more for other cafes and restaurants. I work with various computer programs and handle a range of tasks. My primary responsibility is to recruit new customers and sell our products to them. Additionally, I ensure that the correct products are delivered to the customers, which is a complex and instructive task.

My time in Dublin has already taught me a lot and has been both interesting and educational. The city is beautiful and definitely worth exploring. I am very grateful for this opportunity.

My name is Sammy, and I am currently working at a student accommodation office called Leevinireland, which manages over 500 apartments and two main hostels.

My daily tasks consist of conducting questionnaires with students across Ireland. Additionally, I handle organizational duties such as checking, changing, and renaming keys. Furthermore, I collect keys left by students whose accommodations have ended from mailboxes near the office.

As you can see, I have something new to do every day, which is why I truly value my time in Dublin and look forward to the days ahead.

Katharina Körner (4AK) @ Your English Language School

During our stay in Dublin as part of the Erasmus+ programme, I am working at Your English Language School, situated in the city centre. The school offers small classes of 5-9 students and provides both online and in-person instruction. The focus is on teaching everyday English to facilitate communication in workplace and everyday scenarios.

My tasks include creating certificates for the students, administering language tests, organizing them, and sending emails to the students. Additionally, I wash the dishes during each break to ensure that the students always have clean ones. My colleagues come from various parts of the world, which provides a great opportunity to learn about different cultures. They are all very kind and readily offer assistance when needed.

After work, I often meet up with friends in the city to explore the sights or grab a meal together. Dublin is a remarkably beautiful city, and I have no regrets about being here as the experiences gained are truly invaluable.

I’m currently in the midst of my two-week internship in Ireland at Mary Ryder Design (Curated), and I must say, I’m thoroughly enjoying my time here. Not only do I find the work fulfilling, but the surroundings are also quite picturesque. My responsibilities include creating reels for social media platforms like Instagram and transferring photos from our compromised old account to the new one. Additionally, I manage invoices using the Xero website, which functions similarly to an accounting software, to improve our financial processes. Although my internship is not over yet, it has already been a rewarding experience, allowing me to apply my skills creatively while learning new ones along the way. Ireland’s beauty only adds to the enjoyment of this opportunity.
